DAVIT TONOYAN
The Minister of Defence of Armenia Mr. Davit Tonoyan graduated from Yerevan State University and Military-Diplomacy Academy of RF. He assumed his responsibilities as a Minister in May 2018. He began military service in the RA MoD Department of Military Police as a Head of division in 1994. Since 1998 he held different positions at NATO Allied Command Operations Headquarter. In 2004, he was appointed as a RA Armed Forces Representative to NATO. In 2010 he was appointed as the first Deputy Minister of Defence of RA. He also served as a Minister of Emergency Situations of RA. Minister Davit Tonoyan speaks Russian, English and French.
