Eitvydas Bajarūnas

Eitvydas Bajarūnas is Ambassador-at-Large for Hybrid Threats, MFA, Lithuania. Previously - Ambassador to Sweden, Consul General in Saint Petersburg (Russia), DCM, Mission to NATO, MFA Political Director, director of several units of the MFA, Diplomatic Adviser of the President of Lithuania, head of unit MoD. E.Bajarūnas is Chairman of the Board of Easter European Studies Centre (Vilnius), Member of the Editorial Board of the “Lithuanian Annual Strategic Review”, Military Academy, Lithuania and Member of the Steering Board of the European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats (Helsinki). Holds Master of Arts, King’s College London and Diploma, Applied Mathematics, Vilnius University. Graduated Royal College of Defence Studies, London, UK and attended international relations/security policy courses in Sweden, UK, Germany, the Czech Republic, etc. Author of number of articles on Lithuanian and Baltic security and defence, Russia’s foreign and security policy, and hybrid threats. Fluent in English, Russian, has knowledge in French, Polish, Swedish
