Vakhtang Makharoblishvili was born in Tbilisi, on 2 October 1978.

From October 2005 to November 2009, Vakhtang Makharoblishvili has served as Senior Counsellor at the Embassy of Georgia to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and at the Permanent Representation of Georgia to the EU.
From November 2009 to May 2012, he worked first as Deputy Director and then as Director of the Department of International Organisations.
From May 2012 to October 2016, Vakhtang Makharoblishvili worked as Deputy Permanent Representative of Georgia to the UN, and from February 2013 to July – as Charge d'Affaires of Georgia to the UN.
From November 2016 to date, Vakhtang Makharoblishvili has held the position of Deputy Foreign Minister.
In 2011 he was awarded diplomatic rank of Minister Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
Vakhtang Makharoblishvili speaks English, Russian and French.
He is married with one child.
