Mr. Tornike Rijvadze took the position of the Chairman of the Government of Ajara Autonomous Republic in July 2018.
Prior to this, he led Georgian Energy Development Fund (GEDF) as a CEO. He served as the Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Energy of Georgia. Mr.Rijvadze also held the position of General Counsellor for one of the largest hydropower projects in Georgia along with advisory duties in Investments and Economic Affairs at the Economic Council of the Government of Ajara.
Currently the PHD candidate in law, he has previously earned LLM from the City University of London. Being a bachelor of law at Tbilisi State University, he has also completed leadership program at Lehigh University and regulation of energy sector at Florence School of Regulation.
