General State Secretary of Ministry of Defense
Mr. Radu BURDUJA, (born on November 6, 1979) was appointed as a General State Secretary of Ministry of Defense of Republic of Moldova on 25th October 2017. Mr. Eugeniu STURZA is a graduate of the Air Force Academy, military engineer degree, in Athens, Greece (2003). After Master Degree of Business Administration, Moldova (2011), and Master Degree of Military Art and Science in Strategic Studies and Theater Operations, USA (2013-2015), currently is PHD candidate at the State University of Moldova, Political Science and International Relations.
Professional experience started in 2003 and till 2004 he achieved as a Air Force Engineer and then Physical Training Officer at Air Force Base, Marculesti. Between 2004 and 2015 he was appointed as Special Forces Detachment Commander in Special Forces Battalion and went through all main position till Battalion Commander. After that, starting from 2015 till 2016 he was appointed as a Deputy Head of the Defense Policy and Planning Directorate of Ministry of Defense. Afterwards, was appointed as Military Representative of the Republic of Moldova to NATO till October 2017.
Also, between 2004 and 2017 Mr. Radu BURDUJA attended to multitude of courses such as Airborne School, Armor Captain’s Career Course, Military Observer Course, Command and General Staff Officer Course, Management of Security Cooperation Course, European Security Seminar and Negotiations in International Organizations Course etc. Between 2008 and 2009, Mr. BURDUJA was appointed as United Nations Military Observer, UN Mission in Liberia.
Mr. Radu BURDUJA speaks Romanian (native), English, French, Greek and Russian languages. He is married and has two children.
