ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

 

1. CONFERENCE VENUE
The conference will take place at the Hilton Batumi Hotel within walking distance of Seaside Boulevard and other city sights. The hotel is located in the Batumi business district, a few minutes away from the railway station and Batumi International Airport.

2. LANGUAGE
Official language of the conference is English. Georgian-English simultaneous translation will be provided


3. CONFERENCE FEES
There is no fee for participation in the conference. Meals (lunch and dinner) will be provided by Georgian side for the conference participants.

4. REGISTRATION
The GDSC participants are required to confirm the attendance to the following address:

After having submitted the registration form you will receive further information regarding confirmation of your attendance at the Conference. Please be advised in case of cancellation of attendance to notify the GDSC team a month in advance.

The deadline for registration is September 30.

 5. ACCOMODATION
Rooms are pre-booked at Hotels “Hilton” and “Sheraton”.

Hotel reservation and paying (directly to the hotel) is the responsibility of participants. Reservations for both Hotel should be made no later than September 30. Check-in from 14:00 pm, check-out before 12:00 am.

Participants are free to book other hotels by themselves. However, there will be no transportation provided to and from other hotels except “Sheraton”.

Hotel reservation for speakers and moderators is the responsibility of GDSC protocol officer (please refer to protocol POC contact information below).

6. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS
Arrival and departure travel arrangements (to and from Airports/Train Stations and Bus stations) is the responsibility of attendees (Recommended place of arrival is Alexander Kartveli Batumi International Airport”).

7. TRAVEL/VISA
No visa is required for the citizens of EU and USA. Please find additional information on visa requirements on the following link: www.geoconsul.gov.ge


8. SECURITY/ INFORMATION SECURITY
- There will be security available on site. If there is an armed security party travelling with officials, detailed information must be communicated with the Embassy of your country in Georgia.

- The content of the conference is UNCLASSIFED.


9. LIABILITY/INSURANCE
Personal health/travel insurance is the responsibility of the guests or the sending party.
