Minister of Defence of Georgia Tinatin Khidasheli met with the OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier. The sides discussed the joint projects between OSCE and Georgia. A special focus was made on demilitarization. Lamberto Zannier expressed hope that the OSCE countries will continue financing demilitarization projects. Georgia`s occupied territories were also brought to the attention. Tinatin Khidasheli informed Secretary General Lamberto Zannier on the existing situation in the occupied zones. “A main positive side of such conferences is that it provides a good opportunity to hold bilateral meetings. We have met with defence ministers and OSCE Secretary General. We could not conduct such meetings without mentioning such a painful fact recently witnessed by the whole Georgia. The death of this young person is a tragedy for all of us. First of all we are asking our partners to help us in this process to punish offender. We have talked about our concerns with the OSCE Secretary General and stressed the need of support from international organizations”, said Tinatin Khidasheli. At the end of the meeting, Lamebrto Zannier invited Defence Minister to attend the conference in Berlin. Tinatin Khidashli will act as a speaker at the international forum. The meeting was held in the frames of Georgia Defence and Security Conference.
