First Deputy Minister of Defence of Georgia met with Undersecretary of the Ministry of National Defence of Turkey Lieutenant General Sezai Bostanci. During the bilateral meeting Davit Ebralidze and Lieutenant General Sezai Bostanci discussed bilateral cooperation issues. The sides referred to the current partnership between Georgia-Turkey-Azerbaijan in a trilateral format and future cooperation prospects.
“Turkish Republic is the supporter of Georgia. A lot of Georgian officers are going through retraining in Turkey. Turkish partners are providing technical assistance to the Georgian side. We are also cooperating in Afghanistan. Georgia considers the Republic of Turkey as its friend country and carries on an intensive cooperation with it. This meeting is a clear demonstration of the partnership”, said Davit Ebralidze.
Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the GAF COL Omar Begoidze and Defence Attaché of Georgia to Turkey COL Mamuka Samkharadze attended the meeting.
The bilateral meeting was conducted in the Hotel Holiday Inn in the frames of Defence and Security Forum.
